In this article you will read two short stories about people who got their ‘dream job’ with the help of Global People. Global People supports multicultural talent in finding a new job. Zohreh started as a data analyst at the Municipality of The Hague and Jeremiah became Application Manager at NIBC Bank N.V.
As a member of the international community in the Netherlands, who had no connections to the job market other than connections in academia, I was able to get an inspiring position as a data analyst at the Gemeente Den Haag with the help of Taman Autar (accountmanager Global People). After my first job, I was able to apply for another job in the IT-world. With the input and support of his energetic colleague Raya Soekarnsingh, I was well-prepared for the job interview and finally got the job. A big thank you to Taman, Raya and the whole team of Global People!
The dream of most international (or even Dutch) students is to be able to get employed in one of the top Dutch institutions after graduation. Mine, was made successful by joining Young Global People (now Global People). With dedicated staff, I was coached and guided to perform tasks related to the Dutch working environment. For instance:
Before I went for an interview, Global People took a day to specifically go through all possible interview questions with me and how to answer them successfully. During this day, I was trained on how to pitch concise and accurate as much as possible.
Also, there were some situations where additional courses and skills were required from an employer before he/she could start working. Global People made sure this was made possible by enrolling me through online courses to gain such knowledge.
My journey with Global People has been filled with learning and growing within the organization that enabled me to secure my position as Application Manager at NIBC Bank N.V. I am very grateful to all the hardworking staff at Global People who had contributed in my journey. I am able to grow professionally and this wouldn’t be possible without all the support.
